My husband and I love Halloween. This has always been a favorite holiday for me. I’m so glad my hubby sees the fun in this holiday as well and we love getting dressed up (multiple times a year!) for parties, etc. This year we were lucky enough to have family in town. We’ve been having a blast! My mother-in-law is here as well as my brother-in-law and his wife with their 9 month old son, Jax. We got all dressed up and went trick or treating around our neighborhood. My mother-i
Hi friends! Hope you’re all having a wonderful Tuesday. I’ve gotten a few questions about this shirt and forgot about these pictures we took a few weeks ago. I love this shirt! Similar style to the red plaid shirt I wore a few posts back. Same drill. Love that these shirts make nursing easy. And I love that this shirt is longer in the back so I can wear it with leggings as well. These are still maternity pants here. They just slide down and are bugging me so much! But every t
Last weekend we made it over to the pumpkin patch. I love weekend activities like this with the family! The pumpkin patch at Chatfield Botanic Gardens is so cute! I love seeing all the different food trucks and getting to experience all these little holiday adventures again as a Mommy. Ryder has a blast running around the pumpkin patch screaming “Mommy! Pumpkin!” a million times. LOL I do realize we have NO pumpkins in these pictures – ha! It was still so sunny and hot when w
A couple weekends ago we went up to Tiny Town and had so much fun! I went a few times when I was a kid but I don’t remember it because I was so little. Both Ryder and TJ had a blast! The weather was beautiful and it was so cute watching Ryder run around exploring. I know I’ve said it before but TJ truly is the best big brother and is always watching after Ryder man and making sure he’s ok. Watching the two of them play and laugh together just makes me all 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 He wi
I have a love-hate relationship with Pinterest. I got this cute idea for these pictures off of Pinterest. But OMG I swear, Pinterest is going to be the death of me! It eats away at my soul!!!! LOL Reminding me of all the cool and creative things I never did that break my heart. Or things I “should” be doing, but don’t. And the one million things I wish I did. I swear every time I log into Pinterest a part of my soul dies!! And I feel like a failure and want to cry. Sooo… why
These two. They are so cute together. Ryder LOVES TJ. I mean, he LOVESSSSS him. And I think TJ is ok with all the love. ☺ TJ is a great big brother to Ryder. Always has been. He plays with him and takes care of him and I love watching their brotherly love grow. They are so cute together! Watching them become big brothers to a little sister has been so wonderful. TJ fell in LOVE with Blakely the second he saw her. He’s always coming home from school and asking how she’s doing.
No, I’m no longer pregnant (thank heavens!). But we took some pics together a few days before we had Blakely. TJ wasn’t able to make it to our maternity photo shoot and I just wanted to get some pictures together with us 4. Even if it was just one good picture (whenever there is a toddler involved, it’s tough to get decent photos)! I have the hardest time capturing Ryder. He sees the camera and takes off running in the other direction. LOL I’m always desperate to capture his
Blakely turned one month old a couple days ago. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone! She is the sweetest little thing there ever was. She’s sleeping well and I don’t feel too run down most days. This is much different from when Ryder was a newborn and I was so exhausted I felt nauseous most of the time!! I was a walking zombie! She’s been great at nursing from the very beginning. She loves bath time and is very alert! She loves when you sit and chat with her and also l
Trying to take advantage of these beautiful summer nights. I love the tail end of summer when the nights are cooler. The best! We got Jimmy Johns and decided to eat dinner at the park and let Ryder run off some steam. Ryder is in his happy place at the park and had a blast going down the slide 1,000 times and playing in the water. The water is freezing! But he doesn’t seem to mind. Or notice. LOL And this little girl. Just the cutest! Trying so hard to soak up all these momen
Must Have Items to Survive Pregnancy:
1. Leggings, leggings, leggings!
I live in leggings. I workout in them, lounge in them, play on the ground with Ryder in them. Being comfortable is key for me when pregnant and I couldn’t live without my leggings! I’ve tried many brands/styles and my go-to is the Pea in a Pod brand. I also like the Luxe brand, but they don’t seem to last as long as the Pea in the Pod leggings. I also got a really nice, thick workout pair by Beyond the Bum
I was hesitant to post about this because I know there are so many opinions out there about parenting in general. I feel like people are going to look at us and think “WTF?! Don’t you watch your kid??” And, yes. We do. Obvi. About six months ago Ryder fell down a few carpeted stairs at a birthday party. This kid is tough and falling never seems to phase him. I have tried really hard not to over react when he falls and figure he’ll always let me know if and when he falls and i
Hi Friends! I was motivated to start a blog to keep family and friends who live out of town up to date on my families’ adventures. I have had a passion for writing ever since I can remember. One Sunday, at church, we were given cute red journals and encouraged to write three things we were thankful for (big and small) each night. I was overly excited about this journal and wrote and wrote and wrote… I now have boxes and boxes of journals that I don’t know what to do with! Wri
